About Michael

Michael has been in the food and beverage industry for over 30 years.

Michael is a Colorado native and was born and raised in Denver, where he attended and graduated from East High School in 1987. Shortly thereafter, Michael served in the United States Army Reserve for 4 years. He went on to get his business administration degree with a minor in computer science from Parks Junior College.

At the end of 2009 Michael moved to Steamboat Springs and since then has been an integral part of the community. He can also be found at St Paul’s church every Sunday, which he has attended for the last 8 years.

In March of 2019, Michael participated in the Dancing with the Stars fundraiser put on by the Northwest Rocky Mountain C.A.S.A., helping to raise funds for this essential non-profit organization.

Michael was also recognized for his unwavering commitment to and passion for his work at The Laundry Restaurant when he received the Service Excellence Professional of the Year award at the 2019 Navigator Awards.

Family is incredibly important to Michael, who makes it a priority to keep in close touch with his mother, Blanche, sister Debra, niece Michelle, and nephew William. Additionally, Michael recently welcomed a new member of the family when he became a great uncle to his nephew’s son William Junior.

Michael can be found riding his mountain bike, dancing and listening to music, or spending time with his closest friends. Michael is an avid sports fan and will take any opportunity to venture down to Denver to watch his Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies, and Denver Nuggets play live.
